a long overdued entry.
for A'Dilah and Corinne, fellow unemployed members of The Lonely Hearts Club.
12th June 06, Changi Airport, club homeground
there's simply something about the airport that churns out creative juices. case studies (us! SOB.) carefully dissected, sprinkled with whimsical analysis and wry, weary smiles. we're walking questions with no answers. wrapped in jackets, snuggled snug on the sofa, lost in our own thoughts, on silent talking terms (ah, touche). a sudden bolt of inspiration strikes, ta-daa, a song is born!
our theme song
waiting in pain
waiting in vain
let it rain
let it rain...
okay, that is only the chorus. i have to admit, it's rather flimsy. but it rhymes! :)
our poem (which was delivered spontaneously, poem recital style)
hey!
i love you, he will say
in his arms i will lay
his surname would be tay
he's not gay, and we would be so gay
we will sit by the bay
and roll about in hay
kisses and surprises we will spray
whatever i eat, he will pay
day by day, together we will stay
a most unique poem, because the sequence of the lines doesn't really matter. you can rip out the lines and rearrange them as you wish. plus, it rhymes! :)
blogging this is an insult to my intellect, a slap in my brains.
