a myraid of coloured faces passing by. at the end of the day, it's always you on your own. your own thoughts echoing in your head, bouncing off the walls of your heart. and that heart's beating madly still.
rushing on the way to work, on the way home. going here, going there- where are we going really. packed alongside throngs of strangers lost in their own thoughts, a strangely familiar scene unfolds before your eyes once more. poker faces, plastic seats. chilled metal poles, fingerprints plastered. stolen glimpses, vacant eyes set straight ahead. an empty gaze, a twitch of a smile there. the checkered fabric of the person planted in front of you expands right before your eyes and you find yourself horizons away.
the doors zip open and you know you have to get off it. the forces are coming now, pushes from left right center. you almost want to resist...get down, move on. keep on keeping on.
020606 6:08PM City Hall Station, stairs. (That place is a different country altogether)
